1925-2025 ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF THE
TRIANGLE MOTORCYCLE CLUB
2025 is our centenary year. The club started in 1925 and was originally known as the Red Triangle MCC. The name comes from the YMCA insignia because the club would meet at the YMCA hut on the Nacton side of Ipswich, Suffolk.
In the early days the club organised reliability trials, hill climbs, social runs, weekend camps and grass track meetings.
In the 50's, 60's and 70's the club was heavily involved in scrambles, trials and moto-ball. In 1962 and 1965 Triangle MCC were British moto-ball champions.
During the 90's road riding gathered strength and has now become a major part of the club.
The club has always tried to offer it's members a wide range of activities including ride-outs, trips and social events.
We look forward to many more years of motorcycling together. After all, it is the members (of which there have been thousands) over the last 100 years that have help this club reach it's centenary and present members are very proud to be part of the Triangle Motorcycle Club.
