Friday 21st May 17 bikes left Ipswich at 10.15am to travel to The Cann Office Hotel at Llangadfan (on the A458 west of Welshpool), our base for the long weekend.  We stopped for lunch at The Long Itch Diner at Southam, plus there were also a number of comfort and fuel stops.  The route was mainly A roads, keeping away from the motorways and major trunk roads.  The weather was sunny all the way.

Saturday morning we split into 2 groups and left our hotel in bright weather.  We had beautiful sunshine all day. The main group made 180 mile tour around the Lleyn Peninsular and back across the Snowdonia National Park to our hotel.

Sunday morning we left the hotel in continuing sunshine We stopped for a late lunch at The Long Itch Diner, finally arriving back in Ipswich at 6.00pm, a round trip of  approx 750 miles.
